MINUTES

MEMBERS PRESENT: Don Brown, Diane Johnson, Susan Lirakis, Ted Adriance, Patsy Carega, Nancy Papp, Lisa Scott

SECRETARY:  A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes from the last meeting.

TREASURER:
There is not treasurer’s report.  It is time to pay dues.  They should be sent to Don Sutton or Don Brown.

RECENT ACTIVITIES:
Valentine’s Day, Wiinter Carnival and the Sled Dog Races were all very successful events this year.

BROCHURE:
There will be a meeting at Lisa Scott’s house Tuesday (Mar. 3)  at 5:30 to select pictures for this year’s brochure.  Donna Lawton suggeste that headings be changed to “Farm and Gardens” and Antiques, Galleries and Shops.  Nancy Papp suggested that we find out the price to print the brochure on recycled paper with soy inks.

The group approved these suggestions.

POSNER CD
Don Brown will call the Posners to find out where they are with their “Audio Guide” of Sandwich and Tamworth.

NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Nancy Papp reported that she has a balance remaining from the carriage rides at Christmas time.

The group agreed to hold over the money for next year and to possibly refund a member who was unhappy with the service.  Lisa Scott will look into the situation.

The horses were a great addition to the event that we would like to continue next year.  The group agreed that we need to be more explicit as to where the stops are and what participation in the carriage rides entails.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:45

NEXT MEETING:  April 6th at 8:30  at Mocha Rizing.

“SECOND CUP”:  Bob McArthur will talk about Web Designs.

IV:  EXAMINE ZONING REGULATIONS IN TOWN:

    • How  they  restrict business land  use when the land is not a primary  residence.
    • Explore opportunities for residence with regard to multiple unit dwellings and affordable housing projects.
